And he froze. Went stark still beside her, the shock going so far as to make his breath catch and his hand tighten in hers.

His mind raced trying to catch up and work through the shock. He stared at her and his mouth worked awhile before finally managing, "Why?"

Then he blinked and shook his head, trying to snap out of it, "I mean...yes, I will...I want too but...are you sure? I mean...me...are you sure me?"
